TOP 7 MUSIC VIDEOS 2016

2016, has come to an end but it did give us some wonderfull moments. More so in the music scene.

With some of the illest jams dropping and the artists managing to knock the video out of the park as well.

Here are the music videos that we think made the year in the local scene.

The list below is in no order at all.

Everlast • Naiboi • Kristoff – Gudi Gudi

One of the illest club bangers this year, making countless rotations on every Djs playlist.

Collo x Bruz Newton – Bazokizo

The song that took kenyans by storm, with countless renditions of the now infamous Bazokizo dance all over social media. Moving on tuzikwende tu kislide on to the next one….

Micasa Sucasa – Khaligraph Jones x Cashy

This poetic rap collabo by Papa Jones & Miss Cashy was a good. The back and forth switching of the rhymes between the artists was simply amazing.

 WILLY PAUL- FANYA

The controversial Willy Paul may have had his ups and downs as usual but his work ethic is never compromised by it. The Fanya track was a major hit and still makes it on a number of playlists to date.

Akothee ft Flavour – Give It To Me

Akothee has been making big waves in the industry, dropping a number of songs in 2016 alone. All of which played a big role in her winning the AFRIMMA award a few months ago. Give it to me video featuring Nigerian flavour was a good one prrof of which is the over 2 million views it has on Youtube to date.

Nyashinski – Mungu Pekee

I know its technically not a video, But Nyashinkis Mungu Pekee is one of the most watched videos on Youtube today in Kenya. So it makes the list simply on merit. The beautiful wordplay of the song and given that it being a lyric video enables one sing along to the track makes it even better. Nyash’s You never know was also amazing , for that we will give it a mention here too.

Sauti Sol and Alikiba – Unconditionally Bae

Unconditionally Bae was a long awaited collabo by Sauti Sol and Ali Kiba, that did not disappoint. The play boy style of the video that kind of contradicted the general theme of the song never seemed to trouble most coz the video to date has over 4 million views. Plus the double feature style of the video was great.
